This October, New York City artist JIM JOE will present a group of new paintings at Cooper Cole, Toronto in collaboration with The Hole, NYC. The artist (who is so reclusive he barely exists) will present a group of large paintings, executed entirely with black oil sticks on canvas, that merge his ham-fisted style, his subtle wit, and his symbolic and emotional communication abilities the artist has developed inside his head and honed for a clean room or a gallery.
