The Hole is proud to announce our first first year participating in Sunday Art Fair presenting a solo booth by Jonathan Chapline. With four new paintings, including a new two-part diptych work above, Jonathan elaborates his world of dramatically lit interiors, here stepping out onto the patio for some exteriors as well. From a pickup truck in a car port to a lady returning home to what might be too many house plants, there are new details in the paintings and it is exciting to see how Chapline’s 2D/3D style renders a sprinkler, a mailbox or a cactus. The diptych above introduces a further cinematic trope to the work, suggestive of multiple camera angles. Please visit us at Booth 6.
