The Hole is very excited to participate in ZONA MACO for the first time, presenting a group booth of young artists working with Surrealist strategies. From the eerily repeated women in Julie Curtiss' triptych to the naked and screaming women painted by Belgrade-based Maja Djordjevic, the female form is also a through-line. Alex Gardner paints an unsettling but lovely scene of two women pointing, Anja Salonen exhibits a two-sided screen painting and a new canvas of a slumbering boulder lady, while Morgan Blair contributes three new airbrush and pumice works, blurred and abstracted, depicting perhaps some breakdancers and at least one "RAW" wrester.
