This is the first book for Brooklyn-based artist Matthew Hansel. Known for his surreal art pieces, this forthcoming edition dives into the vibrant colors and immersive visual narratives of Hansel's celebrated paintings. Meticulously hand-bound in our bookbindery in Montreal.

"It is this transitional state between disgust and delight, pleasure and refusal, Eros and Thanatos that makes the grotesque so intoxicating. Art persuades us of its beauty and allows us to delight in its paradox. It's this paradoxical world that my paintings depict.
