DROPPING APRIL 15
86 Walker St
New York
Please join us in Tribeca this week for a print release by Nick Dahlen. A limited-edition silkscreen print of his painting Grocery Donations will be available all week in the exhibition as well as online HERE
This five-color handmade screen print depicts a scene from Minneapolis this winter of neighbors hauling groceries to share with those who could not leave their homes during ICE raids. One hundred percent of the proceeds will be donated to The Food Group: Waite House Food Shelf, a non-profit providing free hot meals and pre-filled grocery bags in South Minneapolis. Read more about them HERE
Across Minnesota, ICE continues to stop, harass, and detain people regardless of their citizenship status. Normal life in Minnesota has been interrupted, as schools have been forced to close or go virtual, as people live in fear of leaving their homes or going to work. Minnesotans are organized and activated to respond to this violence. But they need our help, HERE is a directory of places to donate created by activists on the ground, plugged into the situation.
Nick Dahlen lives and works in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He has exhibited in group shows at The Hole since 2021. Recent solo exhibitions include Student of Life at Gallery Commune, Tokyo, and Everyday Weird at Pamplemousse Gallery, Richmond, VA. Alongside painting, Dahlen’s multidisciplinary practice spans printmaking and illustration, with over a decade of international commissions. His work has appeared in The New York Times and on snowboards, books, and album covers.
